Saffra reads like a luminous band of warmth framed by deep blue. At the centre, yellow and orange tones gather into a broad, almost sunlit stripe, while the dark blue sides give the rug depth and calm. Fine horizontal woven patterns run across the entire surface, preventing the colours from feeling flat and turning them instead into layers of light, texture and movement. Handmade in India from wool on a cotton foundation, Saffra measures 200 by 140 centimetres.
