Sahra appears as a light, woven collage of desert tones. Broad vertical panels in cream, sand and soft beige are interrupted by narrower bands of stripes, where warm browns, greens, ochres and rust shades come through. Delicate lines and braided details in red, yellow or blue evoke nomadic stripes and introduce movement to the surface while keeping the overall impression calm. Handmade in India from wool on a cotton foundation, the Sahra rug measures 200 by 140 centimetres. Its flat, kilim-like construction is durable and pleasant underfoot, making it well suited as a living room rug, beneath a dining table or in a home office. The restrained mix of natural hues with small colour accents pairs easily with timber, stone, leather and linen, tying different pieces of furniture together on a warm, understated base.
