Zarban
Zarban feels like a woven frieze of ornament and rhythm. Horizontal bands in muted blue-grey, ivory and warm brown alternate between floral palmettes, small diamonds and fine border lines. The repetition gives the rug a calm architectural order, while the slightly washed surface adds a soft, aged depth. It feels classical without becoming heavy, ornamental yet clear enough for contemporary interiors. Hand-knotted in Pakistan from wool on a cotton foundation, Zarban measures 311 by 245 centimetres. It works well as a generous living room rug, beneath a seating area or in a bedroom. The design combines oriental-inspired ornamental bands with a restrained grey-blue palette and a subtle vintage look.
